Sentinel Specturm has changed from a palatable monthly tablet to a meaty chew which prevents heartworm, and controls all intestinal worms (including tapeworm), and fleas.
Sentinel Spectrum is a great product as it covers everything with one simple tasty beef flavoured chew.
Indications Monthly treatment prevents heartworm infection; controls adult roundworm, immature roundworm, adult whipworm adult hookworm, adult tapeworm, aids in the control of adult hookworm infection, provides long term protection and control of flea infestations, and forms part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis in dogs.
Flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). The most important part of the treatment of FAD is preventing flea bites.
Warnings Dogs should be tested and be free from both adult heartworm and microfilariae before starting on preventative treatment with Sentinel Spectrum.
Precautions Sentinel Spectrum provides a wide margin of safety in dogs when used according to label directions.
Dosage and Administration Prevention of heartworm, control of intestinal worms and fleas. Treat with Sentinel Spectrum every month, preferably on the same date each month. Give tablet with a full meal.
Puppies. Can be given from 6 weeks of age.
Pregnant bitches. Treat at mating and then every month. Ensure there is a treatment prior to whelping.
Missed dose protection. If a regular monthly treatment is missed by 15 days or less, administer Sentinel Spectrum immediately and resume monthly dosing schedule.
If a dose is missed by 15 to 30 days, heartworm prevention can be maintained if the dog is dosed immediately and then maintained on regular monthly dosing for the next two months.
If a period of more than 60 days has elapsed since the last dose, veterinary consultation is recommended.
Integrated flea control. For best results, give Sentinel Spectrum throughout the year without interruption.
